Janko Hanushevsky, born in Linz in 1978, lives in Cologne. Electric bass player predominantly within the field of contemporary jazz and free improvisation. Since 2001 he has been intensively involved with "extended techniques", the exploration of alternative methods of sound production on the electric bass by mechanical means. He composes music for the theatre and radio plays and is a permanent member of numerous bands. He has worked with Eva Pöpplein in the Duo Merzouga since 2002.
