Stephan Froleyks, born in 1962, is a composer and musician (drums), and also a designer of new types of musical instruments. Stephan Froleyks has received numerous scholarships and art awards; his compositions, installations, radio plays, multimedia works and theatre music were also created as commissioned works for the WDR, Radio Bremen and Deutschlandradio; they have been performed at numerous festivals (Donaueschingen, Witten, Dresden, London, Amsterdam...). He is professor of drums and percussion at the Music Academy in Munster.
